Why Do Colleges Still Give Preference To Kids Whose Parents Went There?
Ivy League schools and other top colleges typically admit legacy applicants at 2 to 5 times the normal acceptance rate at their respective schools. But the phenomenon isn’t exclusive to the colleges with ivy-covered gates.
